Alexa Bliss discusses her past struggles with anorexia

Behind the manufactured drama and blatantly scripted comedy bits, Total Divas sometimes gives a genuine behind scenes look into who our favorite WWE wrestlers are as people. Last night on Total Divas, Alexa Bliss opened about her battle with anorexia.

In the United States alone, 20 million women and 10 million men suffer from a clinically significant eating disorder at some time in their life.

When Bliss freely discussed her past struggles with former WWE ring announcer Lillian Garcia, it was both powerful and heartbreaking.

“It started off as simple dieting. I was trying to just watch what I was eating and then it got to the point where I would try all these tricks just to not eat. I turned into this completely different person."

"When I was at my worst part of my eating disorder, I lost thirty pounds in six weeks and I would hide my body. If people asked me if I had lost weight, I would say no because I didn't want them to see what I was going through."

Watch the clip from last night’s Total Divas and see a new side to Alexis Kaufman or as we know her Alexa Bliss.
