The pro wrestling Gods smiled down on Manchester, England tonight. AJ Styles is going to Survivor Series as WWE Champion. In the main event of tonight’s (Nov. 7) Styles toppled Jinder Mahal to capture the WWE Championship.
Styles ended Mahal’s nearly six month WWE Championship reign after a Phenomenal Forearm got the three count.

In a match that went almost 20 minutes, Mahal earned the early edge in one of the best bouts of his championship run. Power moves from Mahal kept Styles grounded, including a rough slam on the announce table.

Styles would gain control after he tossed Mahal over the top rope and followed it with a Phenomenal Forearm on the outside. A 450 splash from Styles back inside nearly got a three count before the Singh Brothers pulled their man away from harm.

With the Singh Brothers down and out, Styles worked his way into a wicked Phenomenal Forearm and he ended Mahal’s run at the top of SmackDown.
It was the first time the WWE Championship has changed hands outside of North American soil.
Next up is a dream match at Survivor Series as AJ Styles takes on Brock Lesnar. Can Styles pull the upset or will Lesnar notch another pay-per-view victory?
