Sorry everyone, it looks like Rusev Day is canceled this holiday season. Tonight (Nov. 7) on SmackDown, the Handsome One was given a chance to win his way on the blue brand’s Survivor Series team.
The only problem is Randy Orton and his ability to RKO anyone on the roster at any given moment was standing across the ring from Rusev.
Will @RusevBUL join @RandyOrton on the #SurvivorSeries Men's team? He faces #TheViper RIGHT NOW on @USA_Network! #SDLive pic.twitter.com/MRhpC5zJrz

How badly does the #BulgarianBrute @RusevBUL want to be part of #SDLive's Men's team at #SurvivorSeries? He'll show you... pic.twitter.com/XpuDwQEs60

Rusev came out like a house on fire and dominated the early goings of the match. As the England crowd chanted “Rusev Day, Rusev Day” a blocked RKO attempt into a roundhouse kick set the tone for the brawl.
The Bulgarian Brute continued boot the brutes to The Viper for 99.99% of the match until, you guessed it, a RKO out of nowhere ended Rusev’s night.
It only takes one...@RusevBUL will NOT be joining the #SDLive Men's SurvivorSeries team. @RandyOrton pic.twitter.com/Pew19grvOp

This may go down as the saddest Rusev Day in history, who will fill the final spot on SmackDown’s Survivor Series team?
Update 8:55 PM ET: Hope springs eternal
