Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro set for Raw, and I’m tired

The WWE Twitter account announced a match for this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw a short while ago, a variation on a match you’ve already seen in some form multiple times over: Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro.

Yes, this is Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose continuing their feud with Sheamus and Cesaro over the Raw tag team titles, and these singles matches — it was Ambrose vs. Sheamus last week — are a way to keep things rolling until the next tag match. We haven’t actually seen this match or some version of it 657 times but it sure feels like it.

This, then, isn’t a match at all. It’s a reminder, that WWE has three hours of programming to fill every Monday night, 52 weeks a year, every year; It is the hard slog the writers embark on attempting to fill that time; It is the painful monotony of repetition.

I’m tired.

Aren’t you?

Follow along here, I guess.
