Champion vs. Champion
Raw’s best woman versus SmackDown’s best woman for the first time on the main roster.
The Story So Far
The careers of Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair have run on different universal timelines throughout their WWE runs. Flair was signed by the WWE to a developmental deal in May 2012 while Bliss joined the company in May 2013. When Flair and two of the Four Horsewomen were starting the Diva’s Revolution in the summer of 2015, Bliss waited for her call-up until the summer of 2016 when she was drafted to SmackDown.
Other than NXT house shows, Bliss and Flair’s most publicized match took place in May 2014 during the semi-finals of NXT women's title tournament.
The build to Survivor Series
Everything can change within a week. Erase the memories of whatever build-up Alexa Bliss had with Natalya. Thanks to Charlotte Flair’s emotional championship win on the final SmackDown before Survivor Series, the WWE avoids another heel vs. heel crossover affair.
The go-home show
When you slap someone so hard they travel back to their BFFs days, it really is the only plot point you need. During the third wave of Raw’s Tuesday night invasion, Alexa Bliss followed the red brand’s locker room beatdown with her first strike on Charlotte Flair.
Still basking in the glow of her title win over Natalya, ‘street clothes Flair’ was circled by Raw’s female Survivor Series squad and found herself on the business end of maybe Bliss’ strongest strike ever thrown on WWE television.
Now a two time Raw women's champion, Alexa has held her title since late August. Less than a week into her fifth WWE main roster title reign, will Flair take a loss so soon into her first SmackDown championship run? Can Bliss pull off the upset and pickup a signature pay-per-view (PPV) win versus a peer she has yet to topple?
