WWE 205 Live results (Nov. 14, 2017): Kalisto’s birthday party

WWE.com

Here's a place to check results and comment along with the latest airing of WWE 205 Live in its regular Tuesday night at 10PM Eastern time slot on WWE Network.

Last night on Raw, Cruiserweight champion Enzo Amore got a foot up (how you doin) on his challenger at Survivor Series when he pinned Kalisto’s tag partner - and another former titleholder, Akira Tozawa - less than a week away from their PPV showdown.

So tonight, Kalisto is having a birthday celebration!

Yeah. We don’t know either. Maybe The Brian Kendrick and Gentleman Jack Gallagher will do something to corrupt Cedric Alexander. Hopefully we’ll get a few more slides on the Drew-topia from Mr. Gulak.

We'll post match results and plot developments here. And this gives you Cagesiders a dedicated place to rave and/or bitch about whatever goes down on the WWE’s cruiserweight showcase - while it’s being broadcast!

Enjoy the show!

- Kalisto welcomes us, because it’s his birthday after all. He plans to defeat Enzo Amore on Sunday for the Cruiserweight title, and tonight, he’ll celebrate his big day by beating Zo’s right-hand man, Drew Gulak.

- Gulak and Amore are backstage with a giant cake watching the opening speech from the #1 contender. The champ tells Drew he needs him to take care of Kalisto ahead of Survivor Series.

- Vic Jospeh and Nigel McGuinness kick off the broadcast by telling us that in addition to Kalisto vs. Gulak, we’re also getting Ariya Daivari vs. Mustafa Ali. Then it’s time for our first match. Before it starts, The Brian Kendrick warns his opponents that bad decisions lead to cruel consequences. Rich Swann lets everyone know Charlotte is his partner’s home town.

- Rich Swann and Cedric Alexander def. The Brian Kendrick and Jack Gallagher via pinfall (Lumbar Check on Kendrick); this was tornado tag rules and it paid off. Fun match, lots of back and forth and a cool moment where the heels had the faces trapped in submissions, but Rich saved his partner by holding his arm up while the referee checked on him. Swann took out Gallagher with a suicide dive into a DDT on the floor before the finish.

- After another shot of Kalisto’s cake, Daivari is out to worry this might be the last night of ‘The Zo Show’. Everyone on the roster’s been making more money with Amore as champ, and that will end if he loses on Sunday. He runs down the crowd and starts a promo in Farsi. Ali is out and offers to translate. He says Ariya is just sucking up to Enzo, and tells him - from the bottom of his heart - that he looks stupid.

- Mustafa Ali def. Ariya Daivari via pinfall following an 0-5-4; Mustafa came back from a big fall when Daivari shoved him off the top rope when he tried to springboard in early on

- Kalisto admires his cake as Akira Tozawa comes in. He’s hyped for the party, and gives Kalisto a pep talk for his match

- The balloons and cake have moved to ringside, and Zo and Drew are here. The champ says he went all out to make Kalisto’s day special, because who doesn’t like a party? Or, as Gulak calls it, a commemoration. Amore’s present for his Survivor Series opponent is a beating from Drew. The champ continues with his usual line of talk until Kalisto finally arrives.

- Kalisto def. Drew Gulak via pinfall following Salida del Sol; the heels controlled things and lots of cake spots were teased. The finish came when Gulak was more interested in singing a taunting version of “Happy Birthday” than ending things.

- Zo and Drew go for the double-team in the aftermath, and as Kalisto battles back more cake action is set-up but not delivered. When the luchador kicks both men down, Zo runs off. Backstage, he’s interviewed by Dasha Fuentes. Amore says that while tonight wasn’t as happy as he wanted it to be, he’s still going to enjoy some cake. A pissed off Kalisto runs in and smooshes the champ’s face into the cake. He yells and throws cake at Zo as the show ends.
