WWE’s first eSports Showdown happens tonight, watch the stream here

Worlds are colliding. In the new, highly anticipated fighting game Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite two universes clash for a common cause. Now for the greater good and entertaining the masses, the WWE is invading the world of eSports tonight in New York City.

Thanks to a newly announced partnership with IGN, WWE superstars will partake in a new series of eSports Showdowns. In tonight’s first WWE x IGN eSports Showdown, AJ Styles, Sasha Banks, Cesaro, The New Day’s Kofi Kingston, and a yet-to-be revealed surprise player will compete in a Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite tournament.

“The live video partnership with IGN Entertainment gives WWE another global platform to reach our passionate fan base, many of whom are avid gamers,” said John Brody, WWE Executive Vice President, Global Sales & Head of International. “The WWE x IGN eSports Showdown will be an exciting event for fans to consume our family-friendly content through the growing world of eSports.”
