Just before WWE officially announced Starrcade as a loaded house show, word came from Pro Wrestling Sheet that the company was looking to bring back several old WCW properties.
At the NXT taping at Full Sail tonight (Oct. 4), we found out about another one.

That War Games, where two rings are encompassed by a steel cage while multiple multi-person teams fight inside the structure, is coming back at something less than a main roster pay-per-view (PPV) probably won’t please fans who think WWE is disrespecting traditions with roots that actually go back farther than WCW. But there is is.
As with Starrcade, having a War Games match at a big Autumn show is holding to its history somewhat. The match would often take place at Fall Brawl, WCW’s September event. So having it at Nov. 18’s TakeOver: Houston* isn’t the right month, but at least it’s the right season.
If you want to know who all will be battling in the first War Games match since Vince McMahon bought WCW, head here to our spoiler post... since the participants actually give away a couple other stories the black-and-yellow brand have cooking.

UPDATE: As is usually the case with these things, once they spread across the internet, WWE breaks the news themselves. *Looks like War Games might be the name of the show, too...
For the first time in nearly 20 years...#NXTTakeOver: WarGames
