The appearance of SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan on Raw last night (Oct. 30) not only threw an interesting wrinkle into the brand warfare story heading into Survivor Series, it also gave us an impromptu Team Hell No reunion.
Unfortunately, that didn’t turn out so well for DB, who left Baltimore’s Royal Farms Arena on a stretcher, then got the dreaded WWE.com kayfabe injury update!
“WWE.com has learned that SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan was taken to a local medical facility to undergo further evaluation following a brutal surprise attack by Kane on Monday Night Raw.”
And those guys were getting along so well just a few weeks ago...
We’ll have to wait and see how Team Blue addresses this attack, or Bryan’s unauthorized peace negotiations tonight.
But another question is... does this indicate any change in WWE’s stance on The Beard getting physical in angles? The fact the attack occurred by cell phone light and off camera probably means no, but when Brie Bella’s man is looking for any glimmer of hope, he’s probably busting out the Lloyd Christmas GIFs today.
As soon as he’s released from that medical facility, that is.
