Miz picked the wrong time to mouth off to Kurt Angle.
When Miz, Curtis Axel, and a returning Bo Dallas rolled in late in their limo, Kurt Angle was waiting, fresh off a chewing out courtesy of a returning Stephanie McMahon. So Kurt wasn’t having it when Miz started running his mouth. The General Manager made Miz defend his Intercontinental title on Raw tonight (Oct. 30).
Who did the General Manager tap to face the Miz? Matt Hardy.
Matt Hardy was extremely game for the match. Hardy withstood early interference by the Miztourage to really turn it on, including actually hitting his top rope moonsault.

However, when Matt delivered the Twist of Fate, Miz was able to roll out to the apron. Hardy tried to grab the A Lister to bring him back in, but Miz pulled Matt’s head against the top rope and followed up with a Skull Crushing Finale for the win.
Tonight, Miz’s mouth may have gotten him in trouble, but it was a check his ass was able to cash. And as of now, he’s still schedule to face Baron Corbin at Survivor Series.
