WWE Raw viewers down this week

WWE.com

Despite the fact that last week’s show came after the No Mercy pay-per-view (PPV), WWE still struggled to gain viewers for Monday Night Raw. That episode drew 2.92 million.

This week, that number dropped to 2.77 million viewers.

The drop as the show went along wasn’t as bad as last week:

Hour one: 2.94 million
Hour two: 2.75 million
Hour three: 2.61 million

This is the new reality for Raw now that the NFL is back and eating into the pro wrestling audience. Even the football game was down from last week, as the Chiefs’ win over Washington dropped almost a full two million viewers from the week before.

All of this is undoubtedly the guiding force behind the decision to reunite The Shield, which could happen as early as next week.

But how many will be tuned in to see it?
