WWE going all out for Raw's 25th anniversary

As mentioned in today's Rumor Roundup, Monday Night Raw in Brooklyn next Jan. 22 will be the WWE flagship's 25th anniversary show, and the company is planning to make it a special night at Barclays Center.

Expect lots of Legends, according to PWInsider. That's not too surprising - it's been a pretty standard tool WWE's used for these types of shows (The Rock returning for Raw's 15th and 20th anniversaries comes to mind).

The promotion won't stop when this episode airs on USA Network, either.

Amazon is already listing a hardcover entitled WWE RAW: The First 25 Years for a May 1 release next year. Dean Miller, who wrote the recent Absolutely Everything You Need to Know tome for the company, and Jake Black, author of 2011's The Ultimate Guide to WWE, will do the honors on the book.

PWInsider also says there will be a DVD set. No word on the contents, but highlights from Raw's history and the Jan. 22 broadcast seem like safe bets.

If you want to be on hand for a piece of history, tickets for the New York show go on sale next Friday, Nov. 3.

Sound like something worth celebrating?
