Kurt Angle wrestled his first match in a WWE ring in over a decade in the main event of tonight’s (Sun., Oct. 22, 2017) TLC pay-per-view (PPV) at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He teamed up with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins to take on the team of The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus, Kane, and Braun Strowman.

The match was the predictable spotfest, with stuff like this:

Angle was in there doing his thing, German suplexing guys and generally holding his own. Then, in a surprise, or maybe it wasn’t surprising at all, Braun Strowman picked Angle up and hit a running powerslam through a table.

He was taken out after that.
That left just Ambrose and Rollins against five wrestlers. The only choice, then, was to have two of the five turn on each other. Sure enough, there was an accidental chair shot and later Kane completely turning on Strowman, choke slamming him off the stage before burying him in chairs.
Strowman managed to get back up, attacked everyone on his team, and was eventually thrown into a garbage truck trash compactor. The crowd then chanted “that is murder.”
At this point, Kurt Angle made his way back out to his own entrance theme, and he took care of both Sheamus and Cesaro. It all led to his kicking out of the Skull Crushing Finale and the entirety of The Shield hitting their finishers on Miz before they hit him with a triple powerbomb. That got the pin and Kurt Angle celebrated a successful wrestling return with Rollins and Ambrose to end the show.
