Alexa Bliss vs. Mickie James

Alexa Bliss defeated nearly the entire Raw women’s division last month at No Mercy, and she wasted no time in bragging about how great she was that night on Raw Talk. During that tirade, she ripped apart Mickie James, one of the few Raw women who was not part of the No Mercy match, as being too old to be a serious threat to her championship.

Bliss continued to brag about her victory the next night on Raw, and this prompted Mickie James to appear and get right in Alexa’s face. She challenged Alexa to have the guts to insult her face-to-face. Alexa eventually repeated her derogatory comments about Mickie’s age, and Mickie proceeded to kick Alexa’s head off.

Alexa spent the next few weeks lobbing more age-related insults at Mickie, and Mickie was given gifts such as a box of Depends and a walker. Mickie tried to brush off the constant ridicule and instead focused on earning her way into a future championship match against Alexa. And that’s exactly what she did on October 2 when she defeated Nia Jax by disqualification.

Mickie maintained her momentum a couple weeks later when she pinned the champ in a tag team match. She later claimed that she would whip Alexa’s biscuit butt all over TLC.

So that’s where things stand heading into TLC 2017. Will Mickie James be able to bring home the gold for a 7th time, or will Alexa Bliss live up to her moniker as the Goddess of WWE?
