In its report noting that Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt would be missing the upcoming TLC show set for this Sun., Oct. 22, 2017, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to be replaced by Kurt Angle and AJ Styles, respectively, WWE only made mention of a “medical issue” forcing as much.
Now, in a statement to ESPN, the company has confirmed a viral infection is going around and everyone is getting tested:
"We have confirmed that three of our performers have been diagnosed with a viral infection. As a precautionary measure, we are ensuring in-ring performers and staff are tested and immunized in accordance with recommended medical guidelines."
The specific infection will have to come straight from the wrestlers themselves, if it comes out at all. Either way, it’s clearly a big issue affecting upcoming WWE events.
