Lana’s storyline with Tamina hasn’t really taken off, but on SmackDown last night (Oct. 17), The Ravishing Russian may have hit on just the thing their act needs to break through.
It’s right at the start of this clip from the six-woman tag eventually won by Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Naomi, when The Glowing One slingshots onto the heel team of Natalya, Tamina and... well, just those two:

In case you missed it, here’s a GIF isolating the spot, from a different (more hilarious) angle:

In response to Signore Santana’s question, I think I know. Lana’s learning on the job, but this isn’t a botch. She’s just really committed to her self-assigned role as Tamina’s manager, so she took a sympathy bump which also allowed her to coach up her client.
But it got me thinking. Since WWE is turning back the clock a few years with The Shield reunion on Raw, maybe the blue brand can recycle Miz and Damien Sandow’s stunt double schtick?
No?
Oh well. As the late, great George Carlin said, “I have lots of ideas. Trouble is, most of them suck.”
