The Shield reunited last week and viewership for Monday Night Raw was up because of it. This week, though, WWE didn’t have as big a hook and the competition from sports was much tougher, with Monday Night Football (over 8 million viewers) and an MLB Playoff game featuring the New York Yankees (over 5 million viewers). That’s not even including the over 9 million viewers Dancing With the Stars (starring Nikki Bella, who did well this week) did.
Naturally, then, this weeks’ episode of Raw drew 2.68 million viewers, down from last week’s 2.87 million.
The hourly breakdown:
Hour one: 2.73 million
Hour two: 2.73 million
Hour three: 2.61 million
We may be to a point now that WWE should be grateful the numbers held up above 2.5 million viewers for each hour despite such strong competition.
