Vince McMahon changes his mind quite often — you could say that about most people, really — but for the moment, if we’re to believe Dave Meltzer’s report, Brock Lesnar vs. Jinder Mahal is the planned main event at Survivor Series next month.
The response to this, at least from what we got on social media, is near universal derision:

You know what, though?
I like it.
We’ve spent months now dealing with bad storytelling in the WWE title picture on SmackDown because Mahal’s character has been shouting about jingoism while racist promos himself. They are absolutely trying to ensure he is many things to many different people and while that may be working in one sense — he’ll headline the upcoming tour of India as champion, and it will likely be a success — there’s little doubt the WWE title has become secondary. It’s just not as interesting as anything else the blue brand is doing.
Putting Mahal opposite Lesnar is, in itself, interesting, but doing so with the two representing their respective brands and therefore their titles is downright compelling in comparison to what we’ve been given over the past few months.
I’m in.
