AJ Styles hints The Club could reform to battle The Shield

WWE.com

Well that’s one way to get us excited about seeing Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson on TV again.

What happens when a heavy tapering staff wielded as a weapon takes on a broad piece of defensive armor? The pro wrestling gets a possible Club vs. Shield feud says AJ Styles.

In a new interview with Spanish site Planeta Wrestling to promote WWE’s upcoming European tour, Styles is causally asked about The Club reforming. Without hesitation the former leader of The Bullet Club in Japan and The Club in the WWE gave a very confident answer about how his trio would compete with The Shield.

“Absolutely. I think that if Gallows and Anderson and I got together, we would dominate just like we’ve done before. There’s no doubt about it.”

Fantasy match-up or a very real possibility for the next time the SmackDown and Raw brands come together on pay-per-view?

So The Shield successfully dispatch the Braun Strowman, Miz, Cesaro and Sheamus foursome at TLC. Then Good Brothers make a run at the Raw tag titles. All the WWE would need to do is somehow squeeze AJ Styles into the picture.

Crazier things have happened and it would be a great way to offer another legit challenge to The Shield 2.0. Are you team Too Sweet or team Angry Fist Bump?
