The Miz returning to MTV as host of ‘The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars’

He’s actually achieved much greater success in WWE than he did on MTV, but Mike “The Miz” Mizanin never forgets his roots. And The Challenge just can’t get enough of having a pro wrestling connection.

Earlier this year, Miz hosted a reunion special for the reality competition show ahead of Champs vs. Pros, which (briefly) featured CM Punk. Now, the network announces the current Intercontinental champion will be presenting all eight episodes of their newest version of the series, Champs vs. Stars.

Now, while I think The A-Lister’s current job represents his best work, that isn’t to say he didn’t have success at MTV - especially on The Challenge. As the hype for the new show reminds us:

“The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars will feature fan favorites from the MTV program duking it out against a diverse line-up of stars (athletes, musicians and folks from other shows on this network!). Real World and Challenge great Mike "The Miz" Mizanin will host the special eight-week event, which premieres on Tuesday, November 21. If there are puzzles, the Battle of the Seasons winner can surely offer some advice...”

And if Miz’s presence isn’t enough for you, one of the competitors is none other than former Tough Enough and Total Divas star Ariane “Cameron” Andrew! Yes, she counts as a “Star” but she’s competing for charity (Black Girls Rock), so keep that in mind while you’re formulating your Alicia Fox vs. Melina jokes or readying that GIF of her demanding the referee count a pin while she has Naomi pushed face down into that mat.
