WWE 205 Live results (Jan. 31, 2017): King Neville’s reign begins

WWE on Twitter

Here's a place to check results and comment along with the latest airing of WWE 205 Live in its regular Tuesday night at 10PM Eastern time slot on WWE Network.

Tonight starts Neville’s reign as Cruiserweight champ. The self-proclaimed King defeated Rich Swann at Royal Rumble, but couldn’t get the former champ to kneel for him on Raw. Swann says he’s got a rematch coming, but so far, the date of their next fight hasn’t been revealed. Elsewhere, Tony Nese picked up a win and then Austin Aries made fun of him... yeah, we’re not sure what to expect from that either.

We'll post match results here, and most importantly, this gives you Cagesiders a dedicated place to rave and/or bitch about whatever goes down on the WWE’s cruiserweight showcase - while it’s being broadcast!

Enjoy the show!

- Corey Graves tells us Rich Swann is not medically cleared to compete; Gallagher replaces him in the main event

- Tony Nese def. Lince Dorado via pinfall following the Running Kneese

- After the bell, Nese attacks Dorado. TJ Perkins runs in and chases him off.

- Recap of the Neville/Swann segment from Raw

- Tom Phillips interviews Swann, who is on crutches and in a boot. He says he didn’t notice it on Raw when he was kicking Neville’s ass, but that was adrenaline. He’s gonna heal up and come back for Neville. The champ interupts and says Swann needs to learn his place. When Rich stands up to him, Neville shoves him down.

- Hype video for Gran Metalik (coming soon)

- Akira Tozawa def. Aaron Solow via pinfall following a snap German suplex (with Brian Kendrick on commentary)

- Austin Aries interviews him in the ring afterwards, and does the “dumb American” thing of asking if Tozawa understands the words that are coming out his mouth... Akira replies in Japanese and leaves.

- Locker-room segment with Noam Dar and Alicia Foooox approach Neville to talk strategy. The champ tells Noam he never asked for his help and that he should stay out of this way. He also says he doesn’t care about Dar’s love life, so he should leave his “baggage” backstage. Alicia freaks out after Neville walks off and Noam tries to calm her.

- Cedric Alexander & Jack Gallagher def. Neville & Noam Dar via pinfall; Neville walked out on Dar; when he tried to follow suit, Gallagher threw him back in and he ended up taking a Lombar Check from Cedric
