Tye Dillinger debuts as (what else?) number TEN at the Royal Rumble

Fresh off his latest TakeOver loss last night (Jan. 28) against Eric Young, Tye Dillinger made his main roster (re)debut* tonight during the Royal Rumble match.

The Perfect Ten was - what else? - the tenth entrant:

“TEN” chants have been popping up at wrestling shows around the globe for last several months - and they were happening even before his music hit tonight - so this just made too much sense, even if it doesn’t exactly fit his “if I can’t win a big match I should quit” angle currently running in NXT.

But that’s easily explained away - who would say no to a Rumble berth? - and this doesn’t necessarily mean a full-time call-up.

Tye teamed with Sami Zayn to try, and fail, to eliminate Braun Strowman, and was eventually the seventh man dumped by the Monster Among Men.

We’ll see what happens next, but this was... Perfect.

Congrats Tye.
