During last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE announced that Brian Kendrick, despite losing clean in his title opportunity at Clash of Champions, would be getting a rematch for the cruiserweight championship on next week’s episode of Raw in Los Angeles. That no longer appears to be the case.
That’s because the official Raw preview over at WWE.com indicates it’s a match that could help Kendrick earn another chance:
Kendrick has been even more disrespectful toward the titleholder than usual since that night, and will do whatever it takes to climb to the top of Raw’s Cruiserweight division. The self-professed “Wrestling Yoda” will look to get one step closer to that goal when he goes head-to-head with Perkins Monday night at the Los Angeles’ STAPLES Center. Can he put himself in line for another title opportunity?
This makes more sense than simply giving Kendrick another shot, though it still follows the bad logic of beating the champion to get a shot at his championship. It’s reasonable to expect this will continue into Hell in a Cell later this month in Boston.
That good with you?
