With the premiere of Total Bellas just days away (it’ll be here next Wednesday, Oct. 5), Nikki, Brie and their men, John Cena & Daniel Bryan, hit NBC’s morning show - and John’s part-time job - Today for some fun, games and promotion.
In a segment which sounds like it should be more fun that it really is, Hoda Kotb and guest host Billy Bush quiz Cena & Bryan with factoids about the twins’ lives, and have them answer whether the piece of Bellas trivia is true of Daniel’s wife, Brie, or the love of John’s life, Nicole.
Yep, the men who main evented SummerSlam 2013 for the biggest prize in pro wrestling played “Which fella knows their Bella?”
While the questions seemed pretty obvious to all involved, and the tie result totally lame, it is pretty adorbs to watch these four interact. You can also see that in the more straightforward interview clips, where - amidst lots of jokes about Cena’s house rules - the host of American Grit says Total Bellas is “a look at a family that loves each other”.
I also like to watch these and imagine Bryan and I are simpatico on all things WWE and E! related, with the semi-pained look on his face matching what I look like when I have to write about Total Divas or its new spinoff.
With me not having to deal with a soul-crushing forced retirement from my dream job, of course.
Aaaanyway... who’s excited for the first episode of Total Bellas?
