If it seems like Dolph Ziggler has been talking about getting one last shot to prove himself, coming up short, and then just coming back to say the exact same thing for a number of years now, well, that’s because that’s what has always happened. This time, though, it may finally be different.
During tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live in Cleveland, he cut an impassioned promo on The Miz in which he admitted he’s basically a failure in pro wrestling but he just can’t stop himself from coming back for more. The drive to win the Intercontinental title is just too strong. So he made an offer.
One more shot and if he loses this time, his career is over.
.@HEELZiggler is willing to risk it all, as he will put his career ON THE LINE against @mikethemiz at #WWENoMercy! #SDLive @maryse0uellet pic.twitter.com/06TRA82o5h
