WWE Raw ratings (Sept. 26, 2016): Viewers down big thanks to Presidential debate

Roman Reigns WWE.com

No surprise here.

This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw ran up against the first Presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. That meant viewers would be down no matter what, it was just a question of how much.

Answer: 2.46 million viewers tuned into Raw this week. That’s compared to 2.68 million for last week’s show. The hourly breakdown shows just how bad it got once the debate came on in the second hour.

Hour one: 2.85 million
Hour two: 2.38 million
Hour three: 2.20 million

There isn’t much to take from this considering the debate did a 46.2 overnight rating and some 81 million viewers. Every program took a hit, including Monday Night Football dropping from over 12 million viewers last week to 8 million this week.

There should be a big rebound next week. If there isn’t, that will actually be cause for concern.
