Shinsuke Nakamura may have just won the NXT championship from Samoa Joe at TakeOver: Brooklyn II but he’s still got his eyes on the ultimate prize: a headlining spot on the card at WrestleMania. In an interview with SI.com, he even named the opponent he has in mind for it:
Next year, however, Nakamura plans on resting during the opening days of WrestleMania weekend–before wrestling, of course, on Sunday, April 2 at WrestleMania 33.
"I'd like to fight at WrestleMania," said Nakamura, who even booked his own match. "John Cena-that's a great choice."
Considering his talent, there's no reason to believe he won't one day find himself wrestling at WWE's biggest show of the year. But is he good enough, or, better, will the wider WWE audience take to him enough to set up a match against Cena? With his reduced workload in the years to come, perhaps now is the time for Cena to have a match like this.
Would you want it?
