WWE has a new profile up on Mike Lauri and John Alicastro, a couple of New York musicians you may know as CFO$.
Starting with the Raw theme song, "The Night", CFO$ have gradually taken over creating music for wrestlers and WWE's wrestling shows from Jim Johnston, who is now working with WWE Studios on movie soundtracks.
What's unique about their work is how they begin working with new wrestlers from the time they're signed to Developmental, becoming a key part in the entire package of how a performer interacts with the fans. Most of your favorite "New Era" Superstars have benefited from their process, including most of the current crop of popular themes like those for Sasha Banks, Enzo & Big Cass, Finn Bálor and, of course, Shinsuke Nakamura, and their latest hit for Bobby Roode.
Our primary goal is to capture what makes that person a Superstar. It's to capture their persona in the music and amplify it so the guy in the back of the arena, just as much as the person in the front row, can feel it when that Superstar comes out.
Above are a series of videos WWE released of the duo introducing themselves and explaining their process on the Enzo, Bálor, Nakamura and Roode tracks. And head over to WWE.com for the full article with lots of quotes from the pair about their work and how they came to team-up.
