WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR AUG. 1

Chris here. Let's see how the E follows up last week's awesome show...

WWE Signature and a brief package of what happened last week on Raw.

Raw intro and some brand new pyro.

Sasha Banks comes out to the ring to start the show. Yes - I just typed that sentence.

Before Sasha can start, the "you deserve it" chants fill the Phillips Arena. She genuinely gives thanks to the crowd while fighting the emotions.

Sasha starts by reminding us how last year, she and Bayley stole owned the show at Takeover: Brooklyn. She promises to keep it up when she beats Charlotte at SummerSlam.

Speak of the devil, Charlotte comes out in a fairly grandiose robe. The crowd greets her with boos and "you tapped out" chants.

Sasha asks if Charlotte looks different....she can't put her finger on it (as she nonchalantly taps her Women's Title). Sasha made Charlotte tap out, but she refocuses on the big question: Where is Dana Brooke?

Charlotte tells Sasha to get over herself. She doesn't need Dana, and she doesn't need Ric Flair. She's gonna beat Sasha all by herself at SummerSlam.

As for Sasha, Charlotte calls her a "one-night stand." Sasha reminds us that Charlotte is the daughter of Ric Flair....the burn is so damn real.

Chris Jericho interrupts by chanting his "quiet" mantra before calling Sasha a "disrespectful little punk." Jericho defends by calling Charlotte royalty and saying that she has outdone anything that Ric has ever accomplished.

Jericho knows that Charlotte is gonna beat Sasha at SummerSlam. He then asks Sasha about what makes her a boss, mocks the name a bit before mocking her purple hair. He also makes reference to her relation to Snoop Dogg before calling her a brat.

Enzo Amore interrupts now and does his schtick. He gets in Sasha's corner, asks Sasha how she's doin', and kisses her on the hand. He addresses the lack of Cass, saying that he sometimes likes to do business on his own.

Sasha and Enzo exchange "how you doin'" before some banter ensues. Soon after, Enzo starts to ether the hell out of Jericho, who responds by calling Enzo a "hip-hop hobbit."

More banter ensues (including a good rip by Enzo when he called Jericho 'Bon Jovi')

So finally Mick Foley comes out to settle this mess. After some plugs, he announces a mixed tag match: Chris Jericho and Charlotte vs Enzo Amore and Sasha Banks.

And that is happening right now!

Sasha Banks and Enzo Amore vs Charlotte and Chris Jericho

For reasons, Kevin Owens joins the commentary table and steals Byron Saxton's tie.

This one sorta happened. The end came when Dana Brooke came out for a distraction as Sasha went for the Bank Statement. After taking Dana out, Sasha went across the ring to keep Jericho from interfering by slapping him. This distraction allowed Charlotte to take advantage and hit Natural Selection to get the pin.

Afterward, Jericho hits the Codebreaker on Enzo, causing Big Cass to come out, sending Jericho running.

Braun Strowman vs Corey Hollis (as Evan Engerholt)

Before the match, Bryon Saxton asks Hollins about his thoughts in facing Strowman. Hollis says that he gets $1,000 for the match, and $5,000 if he wins. Bryon responds that there are better chances in winning the Powerball.

Another week, another murder.

Backstage, Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley chat when Mark Henry comes in and talks about the New Era...and reopening the Hall of Pain. Steph tries to explain that he was brought in to be a mentor, but Henry has none of it. Therefore, Foley puts him in a United States Championship match against Rusev. Henry says that he's bringing the US Title back to America because THAT'S WHAT HE DO!!!

Also backstage, Goldust shows concern toward R-Truth's Pokemon Go addiction.

Golden Truth vs The Shining Stars

This also happened. Truth's Pokemon addiction reached a new low as he missed a tag from Goldust, costing them the match.

Michael Cole is in the ring for a live interview with his guest, Finn Balor.

Cole begins by bringing up the surprise with Balor being selected as first round pick, and him proving his worth. Finn admits that it's been a wild couple weeks, but he's here to make an impact.

Finn starts to speak again before Seth Rollins interrupts and kicks Cole out of the ring.

Rollins starts talking about Finn and his accomplishments as NXT Champion (which Rollins was the first). He also admires Finn beating Roman Reigns on his first night on Raw. However, Rollins pinned Reigns at Money in the Bank after returning from his knee injury.

Rollins tells some bad jokes until Finn shuts him up and vows to become the first ever WWE Universal Champion. Rollins keeps laughing at the so-called joke before putting Finn over as the man who made NXT what it is today.

The crowd interrupts with some tomahawking because cheap heat. After the chant dies, Rollins reminds Finn that Raw is HIS show. Finn responds by calling Rollins' laugh annoying before bringing up the fact that Finn has been around the world and has faced men who have a similar ego to Rollins....and beaten them.

Rollins gets angry at this remark, saying that he is not like anyone Finn has faced before.

More debating ensues, including Finn digging at the fact that Rollins has had everything handed to him (a fact that Rollins angrily denies). In the end, Finn vows that he is going to hand Rollins his ass at SummerSlam.

Rollins starts to back down, but attacks. Finn responds with some strikes and a Pele kick, sending Rollins out.

Mark Henry vs Rusev (United States Championship)

Typical hoss fight as you would expect. Rusev won with The Accolade.

Rusev def Mark Henry

Afterward, Rusev calls the Olympics rigged in America's favor. He also shoots on the IOC. Therefore, no American athlete deserves the gold medal in Rio, and no man can take Rusev's US Title.

Rusev starts yelling like usual until Roman Reigns interrupts.

Reigns and Rusev have a staredown with Reigns blocking any of Rusev's attempts to leave. Rusev eventually attacks, but Reigns sends him retreating, but not before Reigns lands a Superman Punch on the outside.

Darren Young vs Titus O'Neil

This happened. Titus won with a rollup and a handful of tights.

Backstage, Steph presents Foley a new tablet when Sheamus interrupts whining about not getting a United States Championship match when Cesaro interrupts and an argument starts. Steph shuts them up and Foley presents an idea: Sheamus vs Cesaro, and the one who impresses the most gets a future title shot.

Backstage, Bob Backlund has a psychotic episode toward Titus O'Neil until Titus threatens to knock out Backlund. Darren Young attacks Titus until Backlund stops him.

Nia Jax vs Ariel Monroe

Nia kills.

Nia Jax ends Ariel Monroe's life

Afterward, Bryon Saxton risks his life to ask Nia how it feels to win on Raw. Nia responds by hitting an avalanche on Ariel, and then responding to his question by saying "ask her how it feels."

Backstage, Tom Phillips interviews Sami Zayn. Sami says that he has closed his chapter with Kevin Owens, and has something to prove against Seth Rollins

The New Day vs The Club

Xavier Woods is banned from ringside. But before he leaves, The New Day collectively cuts a promo on The Club's acts from last week. As for the banning, they used a game of "Bag of Fruit." Xavier Woods picked the banana, so he lost (they go for a penis joke with the fruit, but they pulled out before they could finish it).

Quick one. Big E wins with a roll-up.

The New Day def The Club

After, The Club destroy The New Day (including Xavier, who came out to try to help).

Cesaro vs Sheamus

This was a quick yet fun one. In the end, Cesaro flipped out of a powerslam attempt and hit the Gotch Neutralizer to win.

Cesaro def Sheamus

But wait, it's not over! Cesaro and Sheamus fight during the commercial break.

After Cesaro and Sheamus leave, Heath Slater comes out to do his thing, and he has company in the form of one Jinder Mahal.

On cue, Mick Foley interrupts with an idea: Heath Slater vs Jinder Mahal right now. Heath complains, but the winner gets a Raw contract.

Jinder Mahal vs Heath Slater

As Heath complains, Jinder sets up and delivers a MASSIVE boot to Heath's face to get the quick pin.

Jinder Mahal def Heath Slater

Welcome back to Raw, Jinder

Tom Phillips interviews Chris Jericho about his attack on Enzo Amore. Jericho complains about Enzo ethering him on the mic. Jericho eventually says that he has someone to watch his back. Phillips asks who, but he doesn't have an answer other than Jiminn Marvinluder.

A flabbergasted Kevin Owens interrupts and calls him out, saying that he has Jericho's back.

________________________________________

Sami Zayn vs Seth Rollins

This was a pretty fun match that got both men's usual spots in. Rollins won in the end with a Pedigree.

Seth Rollins def Sami Zayn

________________________________________

Paul Heyman is in the ring. He introduces himself, and he knows that everyone has been waiting for the main event: Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar gets in the ring and the "Suplex City" chant starts before Heyman informs us that Lesnar will entertain us at SummerSlam in his own unique way. And that way, of course, is "politically incorrect and violent."

Heyman says that the New Era needs to step up to Brock Lesnar's level, among other things. Heyman finally gets to the subject at hand: Randy Orton. Heyman talks up Orton's accomplishments and the RKO and how it could take down Brock Lesnar.

Heyman goes on talking about Orton and how Lesnar is going to annihilate him, eliminating any chance of victory (and likely survival).

As Heyman goes on, RANDY ORTON COMES RIGHT OUTTA NOWHERE AND RKOOUTTANOWHERE ON LESNAR!!!!

Everyone is in shock as lots of referees, security, Stephanie McMahon, and Mick Foley come out to figure out what the hell just happened as the show ends.
