Nikki Bella training hard for WWE return: 'I don't want to be left behind'

Just days ago, we saw that Nikki Bella has been working with Bayley in preparation for her return to WWE. Today, WWE released a video with comments accompanying more footage of said training, and it gives us some insight into her mindset while she embarks on this journey:

"I'm feeling really, really good. I have to say that I am so excited, just happy to be able to give back in somewhat some action. Being in a neck brace for three months straight and physically not being able to do a lot for six months really just gets you excited when you get that news and that green light like 'okay, go see what you can do.' I have to say I'm feeling great and I'm honestly feeling the best I've ever felt in two years.

"There are moments where I feel nervous and I'm like 'okay, just get past that' but I do know that if I bring that nervousness to the ring I won't succeed, so I definitely try to block it out and have that excitement overcome my nervousness.

"The WWE Draft... I have to say that I was so excited for the brand extension. I think it just brings a lot of amazing opportunity to all the superstars. I was just very excited for everyone, seeing all the girls come out and make their statement of who they are. I would... look, I have chills right now. I was just very excited for everyone. And Sasha (Banks) winning the women's championship... This has been Sasha's dream since she's been 10-years-old and the fact that her dream came true and we all got to see that is magical, and Sasha proved that on Monday Night Raw.

"I've had a lot of fun being here at the Performance Center the past few days and training with Bayley. She is amazing and I can't wait for her to come to the main roster, she just rocks. I have to say the thing that's hurt me the most is the ropes, yes. I had to get my body back into what the ropes feel like. I have some bruises and stuff. But other than that, it's just given me this itch to train even more and really get back into this women's division and really keep up with all the women that are in that division now. Wrestling for women has definitely changed at the WWE and I don't want to be left behind and I want to be on that same level. Just being here has made me realize that I want to train even more but how much I'm loving training and how much I truly have missed being in that ring."

Say what you will about Nikki, or feel however you do about her, it will be her most impressive achievement if she can make it back after everything that has happened.
