WWE Raw results, live blog (July 25, 2016): Battleground fallout show

WWE Monday Night Raw comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (July 25, 2016) from the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, featuring all the fallout from the Battleground pay-per-view (PPV) that went down just last night in Washington D.C.

Advertised for tonight: It's the first show under the new brand split, meaning we'll only see talents drafted to Raw. The brand does not have a WWE championship. Plus, Roman Reigns is back!

Come right back here at 8 p.m. ET when the Raw live blog kicks off once the show starts on USA. It will be below this line here. (REMINDER: NO GIFS OR PICS ARE ALLOWED IN THE COMMENTS SECTION. OFFENDERS WILL BE BANNED.)

Chris here. Let's see how this first Raw of Brand Extension 2.0 goes...

WWE Signature, a recap of Battleground's ending, and a revamped Raw intro.

Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley are already in the ring to start.

Foley welcomes us to Raw and the new era and of course. Cue obligatory cheap pop as well.

Foley then introduces us to the entire Raw roster. Foley vows to work hand-in-hand with them to make the best show possible.

Steph addresses how Roman Reigns lost the WWE Championship for Raw to SmackDown. Seth Rollins had it in the bag, but Reigns ruined it all. Now, Reigns is just a loser.

Foley announces that tonight's episode will feature TWO Fatal-4-Way matches, with the winners facing each other in tonight's main event. The winner of that main event will face Seth Rollins at SummerSlam for the "brand new championship title."

By the way, it is called the "WWE Universal Championship"

The competitors are as follows:

Sami Zayn
Chris Jericho
Roman Reigns
Kevin Owens
FINN BALOR (who gets a very big pop)!!!

Steph then calls Charlotte forward. Foley addresses the fact that she tapped out to Sasha Banks. Therefore, Charlotte will be defending her Women's Championship against Sasha Banks.

To start off, we get one of the Fatal 4 Way matches next.

Cesaro vs Rusev vs Kevin Owens vs Finn Balor

This was a pretty good match that really started to pick up steam as it went on. All four men were equally awesome here, so no one looked really bad. In the end, Balor took everyone out and pinned Rusev after the Coup de Grace.

Nia Jax vs Britt Baker

Backstage, Sasha Banks is getting ready for her Women's Championship match when Golden Truth almost runs into her while playing Pokemon Go. They go away, and Tom Phillips steps in for an interview. Sasha basically says that she's gonna expose Charlotte and beat her for the championship, and there is nothing that Dana Brooke can do.

Sheamus vs Roman Reigns vs Chris Jericho vs Sami Zayn

Like with the last F4W, this was a pretty fun match that picked up as it went on. All four men were pretty equally showcased (with an emphasis on Reigns because of course). Speaking of, Reigns picked up the win after a spear on Jericho.

The New Day comes out for a booty-free celebration.

Xavier Woods admits that their match with The Wyatts did not go as planned. However, that does not change the fact that The New Day has been your WWE World Tag Team Champions for 337 days. They start talking about what has happened in the past 337 days.

337 days ago, Booty-Os were a dream. Now? It's a reality!!!

In typical WWE fashion, we get a video package documenting the last 337 days. After, they marvel over said package.

To commemorate this, one person is being selected to be an honorary member of The New Day.

But who? Some dude named Sonny Boy. A "Who's on First" sketch follows.

As the celebration starts, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson bust it up and bust up The New Day, eventually hitting Big E with the Magic Killer.

Gallows and Anderson slowly walk around the ring and torment Sonny Boy a bit

Neville vs Curtis Axel

Jojo introduces Axel as "Mr. Irrelevant." Axel says that they save the best for last.

This one just kinda happened. Neville won with the Red Arrow.

Backstage, Darren Young sulks about not winning the Intercontinental Championship. Bob Backlund tells him that this is a learning experience when Golden Truth stumble in with Pokemon Go. Backlund goes berzerk.

Tom Phillips interviews Charlotte about her upcoming title match. Charlotte talks about pressure and how she has been "leading the Women's Division." The reality is that Sasha is gonna bow down to the queen.

Sasha Banks vs Charlotte (Women's Championship)

This was a very good match that saw both women absolutely try to kill both each other and themselves. About a quarter of the way through (because this was a long match), Dana Brooke got herself ejected because Sasha channeled her hero, Eddie Guerrero, by making the referee believe that Dana was gonna hit her with the belt. After Dana was ejected, this really turned into an intense back-and-forth match with some death-defying spots from both women.

In the end, Charlotte busted us Sasha's leg, but Sasha wouldn't go down. After some arrogance from Charlotte, Sasha hit the backstabber-into-Bank Statement combo to seal the submission victory.

After the match, Byron Saxton interviews Sasha, who is completely overcome with emotion and a crowd giving her a standing ovation and the "you deserve it" chant. She says "I DID IT!!!" before proclaiming that she is going to prove that she deserves it.

Braun Strowman vs James Ellsworth

It should be worth mentioning that Strowman has new music, and a new biker-ish hairstyle. Also, Bryon interviews tonight's victim, and he's scared out of his mind.

And now he's dead.

Backstage, Golden Truth continues their Pokemon Go adventure, including a cheap Pittsburgh Penguins pop.

Enzo & Cass vs The Shining Stars

Before the match, Enzo & Cass talk about things they like raw. The Shining Starts because they think they relevant.

This happened. Golden Truth wandered into the match because Pokemon Go, distracting the Shining Stars. One ate a boot and lost some teeth.

Brock Lesnar will be on next week's Raw

Roman Reigns vs Finn Balor (#1 Contenders Match)

This match was absolute fire with both men absolutely bringing it with everything they could think of and more. Finn took a LOT of punishment, but was able to pull out the legitimately shocking win following the Coup de Grace

Finn Balor def Roman Reigns; will face Seth Rollins at SummerSlam for WWE Universal Championship

Tom Phillips interviews Roman Reigns after the match. After a moment, Roman says that he wants Finn to beat Rollins at SummerSlam. After SummerSlam, Roman wants Finn again. Roman also admits that he respects Finn.

Finn celebrates as the show ends.
