WWE Signature and we go straight to Worcester where Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon comes out to a raucous reaction. Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley are already at the Raw podium.

Bryan does his Yes Chant, and Steph barks at him for pandering. She then has Foley do a signature cheap pop.

Now to get to business, the first pick for Raw is Seth Rollins. Steph then reminds us that he will be the rightful WWE Champion at the end of the night. Shane makes a "Crossfit Jesus" reference.

Bryan makes SmackDown's first pick: Dean Ambrose.

Foley then announces Charlotte as the next Raw pick. Shane and Bryan seem intimidated...until they announce AJ Styles as their next pick.

Steph calls the pick phenomenal. Foley makes the next pick (first one from NXT): FINN BALOR!!!

Right after Balor is announced, John Cena comes out for  a match.

John Cena vs Luke Gallows

Enzo & Cass come out to hang ringside.

This was a decent match that followed the typical Cena formula. In the end, Enzo & Cass faced off with AJ Styles and Karl Anderson across the ring. The Club ran across the ring and were sent over the top to the floor. After the chaos, Gallows ate an AA.

SmackDown's next pick is JOHN CENA.

SmackDown goes next with Randy Orton.

And Raw's last pick for this round: The New Day

Rusev and The Miz vs Darren Young and Zack Ryder

This was quick yet pretty fun. Darren submitted The Miz with the crossface chickenwing, causing Backlund to mark in excitement.

Xavier Woods vs Bray Wyatt

This was a decent in-ring match that had a really interesting story behind it when Bray briefly had Xavier in a trance. Xavier overcame the trance and his fears and fought but was ultimately defeated by Sister Abigail.

Kane vs Kevin Owens

But nope! As Owens barks at the GMs for not picking him yet, Sami Zayn comes out and the brawl ensues as Kane looks on. Soon both men eat chokeslams because Kane.

Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins (WWE Championship)

  • This feels familiar. Oh, wait...
  • Before the bell rings, Rollins attacks Ambrose. Ambrose is left outside as we go to break.
  • Back from break and Ambrose is ready for action. The bell rings and Rollins immediately launches an onslaught with strikes and following with a Falcon Arrow for two. Rollins isn't happy about the two count.
  • Rollins keeps the pressure on with a good deal of holds and moves including a sort-of back suplex backbreaker for two.
  • After a while both men end up outside and Ambrose flips Rollins into the timekeeper area. Ambrose climbs on the announce table to splash Rollins, but Rollins moves and Ambrose eats barricade.
  • Rollins gets Ambrose back in the ring. Rollins follows up with a flying knee and a superkick for two as we head to commercial.
  • Back from break and Rollins is back in control. After he hits a corner forearm, Rollins goes for a second and eats a huge clothesline from Ambrose, who starts to mount a comeback. He hits a neckbreaker for two and follows with an attempted axe handle, but Rollins catches him and hits a buckle bomb.
  • Rollins follows with a frog splash, but Ambrose rolls out of the way and tries a roll-up for a close two. He teases Dirty Deeds, but Rollins shoves him to the corner. As the ref tries to separate them, Rollins pokes Ambrose's eyes and goes for a Pedigree, but Ambrose flips Rollins out of the ring. He follows with a suicide dive.
  • Ambrose then gets onto the top turnbuckle and hits an elbow drop on Rollins, who is still outside. Ambrose gets Rollins inside and goes for an elbow off the top, but Rollins hops up and delivers a superplex.
  • Rollins goes for the combo with a second suplex, but Ambrose was ready and reverses into Dirty Deeds for the win.
