WWE SmackDown returns to the USA Network this coming Thursday night (June 9, 2016) from Wichita, Kansas but the show was taped, as usual, on Tuesday. That means full spoilers are readily available if you're the impatient type who doesn't want to wait a couple days for the payoff.
Unwrap that present early:
- The Club opened with a promo on Money in the Bank when Enzo and Big Cass came out to do some trash talking back-and-forth and that led to a match. New Day was out for commentary. The match didn't have a finish when New Day and The Vaudevillains all got involved.
- Rusev did an interview saying he's even greater than Muhammad Ali was. Titus O'Neil interrupted and they set up a match for Money in the Bank.
- Kevin Owens & Alberto Del Rio def. Sami Zayn & Cesaro in a match that featured Owens in peak form, brawling with Zayn to the back, coming back out and attacking his partner, but still pinning Cesaro.
- Becky Lynch def. Dana Brooke.
- Another comedy bit with Bob Backlund as Darren Young's life coach. Something about how to save money.
- Baron Corbin def. Kalisto with Dolph Ziggler on commentary.
- Sheamus and Apollo Crews reignited their issue with a backstage segment where Crews laid Sheamus out.
- Chris Jericho def. Dean Ambrose but Ambrose used a ladder to lay him out and stand tall to close the show.
That's SmackDown this week.
