It's really only within the past week that WWE has been floating the idea around that whoever wins the Money in the Bank ladder match could cash in the contract that very same night on the winner of the Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins WWE world heavyweight title match. Here, Michael Cole asks the challenger about the possibility:
"Honestly, if I'm looking at it from an outsider's perspective, I think it would be a stupid move (to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase). I don't think I have to do anything to prevent it; I think the Money in the Bank ladder match itself prevents that from happening. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe there's some nut job in there, Dean Ambrose, who thinks it might be a good idea. But I've been in that Money in the Bank ladder match, I know the toll it takes on you physically, mentally. I know what it's going to do to the six competitors who are in that match this Sunday. They're going to be in no condition to want to come down there and stick their nose in my business or in Roman's business for that matter. I'm not too concerned with that situation."
That tease of a Shield triple threat continues, though it seems unlikely WWE would make such a move at a time of such uncertainty, what with the brand split just over one month away. Still, they want you thinking about it come Sunday night.
