With his teammates from Los Matadores currently promoting the joys of Puerto Rico, and with the only other little person on the roster being the first name revealed in WWE's 2016 mass release, we probably should have seen this one coming.
El Torito, who worked in his native Mexico as Mascarita Dorada prior to signing with Vince McMahon in 2013, has been let go by WWE.
In his brief run with the company, Torito was often more over than Diego and Fernando (the characters played by the Colon cousins in Los Matadores) and received the spotlight a couple of times for things like a WeeLC match at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV) in 2014.
He even got a chance to shine on the Grandest Stage of Them All as part of a well-received pre-show Fatal 4Way tag match on the WrestleMania 31 Kickoff.
There is certainly work for him in Mexico, and considering Lucha Underground's use of minis, fans will likely call for him to get a look in The Temple.
Hopefully he'll stay in touch with his "chiquita baby", Renee Young.
