Just yesterday, a report made the rounds that Hideo Itami is close to returning from the shoulder issues that have sidelined him dating all the way back to the spring of last year. That's welcome news considering NXT needs all the star power it can find right now while WWE is preparing for a brand split in July when SmackDown starts running live on Tuesday nights.
Today, he all but confirmed that report:
See you soon.

As mentioned, there are options on the table for WWE, including finishing up the storyline that wrote him off -- getting attacked in a parking lot by an unknown assailant -- or simply getting reacquainted with an NXT that doesn't look anything like it did when he was last wrestling within the promotion.
We shall see.
And soon, thankfully.
