Earlier today, Cody Rhodes sent out a tweet teasing some forthcoming news about his wife, WWE announcer Eden. It seemed to hint that she would be following him out of the company.
It's no longer a tease, as WWE announced that she, too, requested a release and had it granted:
WWE has granted Eden (wife of Cody Rhodes) her request to be released, as of today, May 24, 2016. WWE wishes Eden the best in all her future endeavors.
Eden had worked with the company dating back to 2013 as a ring announcer and backstage interview, working her way up from NXT to the main roster on SmackDown, pay-per-views, and, occasionally, Raw.
She would reveal on her Twitter that she's got something lined up already, and that played a part in the decision:
(1/2) What I've been teasing for weeks: I've been offered a new opportunity outside of WWE!! So I've decided to part w/ WWE after tonight.
