Monday night's episode of RAW is set to feature five qualifier matches for the right to compete in the Money in the Bank ladder match at the upcoming pay-per-view of the same name. The main event of RAW and final qualifier of the evening saw Kevin Owens score the big win over Styles and earn his way into Money in the Bank.
Prior to the match, WWE showed clips from Styles' world championship match against Roman Reigns during Sunday night's Extreme Rules pay-per-view. Then Styles got in the ring and complimented Reigns, saying that if it wasn't for the Club and the Usos getting involved, he would be WWE champion right now.
This brought out Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, who took exception to what Styles said. Styles said this isn't Japan and that things are different now. Anderson said Styles has changed and Gallows said that if it weren't for them, Styles never would have made it to Extreme Rules.
Styles tried to defuse the situation by saying he and the Club should distance themselves from each other for the time being, but nothing can separate them from being brothers. He tried to get a "Too Sweet," but the Club said they're not brothers anymore; in fact, they're not friends anymore. Styles then told them to get out of his ring if that's the way they feel.
Owens and Styles had a fantastic match in the RAW main event, but the threat of the Club was lurking throughout. At one point, Styles got powerbombed onto the ring steps on the outside, but was able to beat the count and slide back into the ring. A short time later, Owens managed to hit the pop-up powerbomb and get the clean win without the Club getting involved.
Money in the Bank -- the seventh installment of the PPV event to be presented by WWE since the MITB ladder match has been removed from the WrestleMania lineup -- will take place on June 19 at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
