Monday night's episode of RAW is set to feature five qualifier matches for the right to compete in the Money in the Bank ladder match at the upcoming pay-per-view of the same name. In the second qualifying match of the evening, Cesaro managed to earn his spot (and extract a small measure of revenge for Sunday's Extreme Rules PPV) by defeating the Miz.
Cesaro was the man who took the pinfall in Sunday's Fatal 4-Way match for the Intercontinental Championship, where The Miz retained after Cesaro took finishers from all three other men. Cesaro was all business on Monday night, coming out of the gate firing bombs at Miz and telling Maryse to talk to the hand.
Miz turned the tables by beginning to attack Cesaro's surgically-repaired shoulder. With his arm injured, Cesaro was only able to muster a couple of revolutions in his giant swing, but he was still able to hit the Gotch Neutralizer for the pinfall and his berth in the MITB match.
Money in the Bank -- the seventh installment of the PPV event to be presented by WWE since the MITB ladder match has been removed from the WrestleMania lineup -- will take place on June 19 at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
