First, Seth Rollins did some teasing on Facebook like he might show up at any time to remind Roman Reigns that he never lost the WWE world heavyweight championship that his old Shield partner is carrying around. Then, reports made the rounds that he was going to make his return sooner than previous rumors and reports had indicated and it could happen as soon as tonight's (Sun., May 22, 2016) Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV) at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Sure enough, he did.
Just after Reigns went through an incredible "Match of the Year" candidate with AJ Styles, successfully defending the WWE title, Rollins showed up from behind while he was celebrating to hit him with a Pedigree. Then he held up the belt he had to vacate when he blew his knee out in November of last year.
He's back.
And it looks like we're just going to keep getting amazing main events involving Roman Reigns.
Happy?
