WWE Extreme Rules 2016: AJ Styles versus Roman Reigns full match preview

The Match up:

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns, defends the title in an Extreme Rules match against number one contender AJ Styles this Sunday, May 22, 2016 in the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.  Will the leader of the Club finally become Champion or will the Bloodline reign supreme?

The Road to Extreme Rules:

The day after WrestleMania 32 saw Styles win a Fatal 4 Way match to become number one contender.  In the weeks following, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows made their presence known in the WWE by attacking the Usos and Reigns.  Styles initially shied away from accepting his friends help on his journey towards the title.  However, coming up short at Payback earlier this month lit a fire under his rear end. The next week Styles declared that "The Club is back together".

The Club and "the Bloodline" (which is what Reigns and the Usos have taken to calling themselves) have done battle in every arena on their way to Extreme Rules.  Styles' apprehension of "going extreme" cost him a ride through an announce table, courtesy of the WWE WHC.  Since then, the number one contender has shown absolutely no hesitation in bringing out the weapons, specifically hitting a Styles Clash to Reigns on a steel chair this past Monday night on RAW.

The Club and the Bloodline battled until the show went off the air on SmackDown this past Thursday in a small preview of the chaos that awaits this Sunday.

The Stakes:

The WWE World Heavyweight Championship is on the line.  Styles looks to add another World Title to his list of championships he has won around the World.  Reigns looks to cement his position as "The Guy" in the WWE.  The wild cards of the Usos and Anderson/Gallows will not be far away.  The survivor of this match will have gone through an absolute war.
