WWE Extreme Rules 2016: Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin No DQ full match preview

The Lone Wolf and the Showoff need to settle their beef. They'll be doing it on the Extreme Rules Kickoff Show.

The match

The first extreme rule that WWE fans will be treated to during Sunday's Extreme Rules pay-per-view will be a no disqualifications stipulation between Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin. That means anything goes, so expect to see some plunder involved and perhaps a finishing move or two performed on a trash can. At the very least, we can probably expect a kendo stick.

The players

Dolph Ziggler, former two-time world champ, is sort of just kicking around the midcard at the moment, which is pretty much where he's been since that Survivor Series a couple years ago that we don't really like to talk about very much.

Baron Corbin, longtime NXT jerkface, won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on his first night as part of the main roster. Since then, he's gotten some new pants and feuded with Ziggler exlcusively.

The story

The night after WrestleMania, Baron Corbin took so much delight in pummeling Ziggler outside of the ring that the match was ruled a double countout. Corbin wasn't pleased with that at all, so he performed his finisher, the End of Days, on Ziggler outside the ring.

Since then, things have escalated. Corbin focused too much on beating up Ziggler at Payback instead of going for the win, so Ziggler was able to roll him up and hand him his first big loss. Corbin has defeated Ziggler in singles action since then on RAW, but the two men will meet up one last(?) time at Extreme Rules. And this time, Corbin can hit Ziggler with anything he wants.
