SyFy airing 2-hour Raw on Friday nights

For those of you who can't handle watching all three hours of Monday Night Raw live each week, or simply don't want to deal with the edited version that appears on Hulu, you have a new option available to you for the next couple of weeks starting tonight.

SyFy will air a two-hour version of the show in the time slot formerly occupied by SmackDown before it switched to Thursdays and then moved over to the USA Network.

It's unclear if this move is permanent, as SyFy could simply be looking to fill time with a proven ratings draw in a slot fans have known for wrestling in the past. That said, if viewership justifies as much, it's at least possible this could become the norm.

Could it also have an effect on the decision to keep Raw three hours on Monday nights?

That could be a stretch but at the very least WWE and NBCUniversal are providing fans yet another way to watch the former's flagship program.
