WWE Extreme Rules 2016: New Day vs. The Vaudevillains tag team title match official

While it's entirely possible The Vaudevillains were always booked to win the WWE tag team tournament to determine the next number one contenders, when Enzo Amore suffered a concussion and the finals had to be stopped early there was no doubt what direction they were going.

Indeed, it was announced during tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw in St. Louis that The Vaudevillains will challenge The New Day for the tag team titles at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for Sun., May 22, 2016, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

The NXT call ups, who haven't made much of an impression on the main roster so far, will get the chance to do just that against the most over team on the main roster.

During Raw, however, The Dudley Boyz made sure to keep their names in the discussion while Big Cass showed up to remind us everyone is S-A-W-F-T (that spells SAWFT).
