Emma undergoes successful back surgery

In just about the only good news we could hope to get on WWE Superstar Emma, who was revealed to have suffered a back injury which would require surgery earlier this week, PWInsider says that surgery was successfully completed earlier today (May 18).

Beyond the positive result, we're light on details. Mike Johnson at the Insider notes that the ruptured disc was repaired, but no word on recovery time, etc.

We do know her man Zack Ryder was flying to be with her, so she's got some personal support in addition to the outpouring she received from fans and co-workers on social media.

Flying to be wIth @emmalution as she is having surgery today. She worked so hard to get back on the main roster. I know she'll be back again!

Rest up, Emma. This is definitely a bad beat, but we expect to see those aviators on television again soon.
