WWE Raw ratings (May 16, 2016): Viewers down for Extreme Rules go home show

WWE.com

All told, WWE television has been solid if unspectacular of late. Unfortunately, with the NBA and NHL Playoffs in full swing, not to mention various other programs competing for viewers attention, unspectacular isn't going to draw viewers in to Monday Night Raw each week.

Sure enough, last night's (May 16, 2016) episode from Greensboro, North Carolina saw a slight drop from the week before, garnering 3.19 million viewers compared to 3.23 million last week.

The hourly breakdown shows the issue:

Hour one: 3.37 million
Hour two: 3.30 million
Hour three: 2.89 million

There are still millions of fans willing to sit through three hours of television, but that's a big drop each week and it's only getting worse. That's the lowest hour three total in 2016, and the show is once again flirting with breaking the record for the lowest viewership in that hour since the change to three hours in 2012.

Next week's show will come one night after the Extreme Rules pay-per-view, so an uptick may be coming.
