The White House Correspondents' Association held their annual Dinner last night, April 30, 2016. The yearly shindig is held by the non-governmental agency responsible for media access to the President and events held at his residence, and is routinely attended by political and media power players from across the nation.
Over the past few years, its reputation as a comedy roast of and by the Commander-in-Chief and the whole capital scene has raised its profile in the mainstream.
All of which is to say, WWE snagging a couple of invites for John Cena and Nikki Bella is (to steal a phrase from Dario Cueto's desk) kind of a big deal.
What isn't surprising is that the first couple of sports entertainment would be super-classy about it and look phenomenal:
