The Vaudevillains debut on WWE SmackDown

As announced on Monday Night Raw this week, The Vaudevillains, the old timey strongman tag team from NXT, made their WWE main roster debut on this week's episode of SmackDown that aired tonight on USA Network. They defeated the Lucha Dragons, a team they worked with in developmental and were comfortable with, and the match was, well, what it was. The crowd didn't react much to them either which way. Boos were piped in, or at least it sounded like it, so they're still working heel.

This is not a gimmick that has ever gotten over on a high level, although it may have some legs in the tag team division. Then again, The Ascension died one hell of a death when they were called up with a gimmick you could argue was equally bad.

We shall see what the future holds.
