Just last month, Bobby Roode asked for and was granted his release from TNA. It was reported financial issues, among other grievances, were the root of the problem but he also made note of the fact that the company "has been stale for the last little while."
Then he showed up ringside at the NXT Takeover: Dallas just last Friday night. WWE was sure to put cameras on him as well as reference him by name while openly speculating on why he was there.
Today, rumors started making the rounds that he's officially been signed by the company and will be starting up soon. He took to Twitter to comment on as much:
The rumor mill is swirling!! Gotta love it ! #Staytuned

Roode working in NXT makes sense for a number of reasons, though his former Beer Money partner, James Storm, also tried his hand at it and ended up back with TNA on a better deal.
Like he said, stay tuned.
