Just days ago, reports started making the rounds that WWE is finally scrapping the dreaded "Divas" term in relation to its women's division and a new championship title was commissioned to bring in a new era. The original report noted we likely wouldn't see the new belt until tomorrow night's episode of Raw in Dallas.
Plans changed!
According to PW Insider, the new title will be unveiled tonight (Sun., April 3, 2016) at WrestleMania 32 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas for the Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch triple threat match scheduled for the pay-per-view. Part of the reason for this is because the winner, along with whoever is WWE world heavyweight champion by the end of the night, is slated to appear on The Today Show tomorrow morning.
There's no word on how exactly the new championship will be introduced, be it in a backstage segment, something in front of the live audience, or if Charlotte will just walk out with it, but, as of this writing, we're only hours away from finding out.
